JPA M&E Consultants is currently engaged in an ambitious project in the heart of Sittingbourne, Kent, with an estimated project value of £30 million. This expansive development involves the creation of a new Medical Centre, the refurbishment of an existing office block, and the construction of new residential and social housing units. After years of meticulous planning, the client-led team has been exceptionally responsive to building control and planning requirements.

Appointed for RIBA Stages 2-3, JPA has been instrumental in developing proposals for the heat network system. We’ve also provided comprehensive modeling for daylighting, overheating assessments, and Energy Consultant Services, which have been pivotal for the Stage 2 planning application. The application has since been approved, and we are eagerly looking forward to progressing through the design phase.

This multi-faceted project includes three new buildings and an internal public courtyard, totaling 164 residential units. The complex will consist of various apartment blocks of differing scales, a medical centre situated near the High Street, and a pharmacy. Additionally, the existing Bell House office block will undergo a refurbishment, with an added level for residential accommodation.

Partnering with POD Architects and EDGE Structures, this project exemplifies JPA’s capabilities in Residential, Social Housing, and Office Block sectors. It also demonstrates our commitment to masterplanning and detailed coordination in line with RIBA Stage 2 requirements. This development is setting the standard for integrated, community-centric design, and JPA is thrilled to be a key part of this landmark project.
