OUR MEP VALUE ENGINEERING SERVICES
Value engineering is the practice of revisiting the design to ensure that the most economical solutions have been used without affecting the brief. This can mean a review of the materials, workmanship, controls, a review of equipment selections, or in some cases a different MEP System selection.
WORKSMANSHIP
Labor choices can be a very time-consuming element, and therefore very costly. It is normal practice in modern times for labor-saving methods to be used on-site and suggested by the M&E contractor. These include crimped fittings, pre-insulated ductwork, and push-fit pipework. Activities that often take the longest on site. Simple workmanship changes can be the difference in hundreds of thousands in larger projects, often seen by the M&E Contractor. Assurance must be made however that joints are still pressure tested to the same rigorous standards, and that staff are adequately trained on the methods.a look to see how we can reduce operating costs and project costs.
CONTROL STRATEGIES
Simple control strategy changes may not be seen in terms of capital costs, however, these can be witnessed in operational costs over the next 10 or so years. Using our Energy and Cost model analysis, we can simulate the energy usage of buildings through time and provide simple solutions to the client to save large sums of money over longer periods. We can also advise on carbon emission usage within the building, and limit the energy usage through simple techniques.
EQUIPMENT SELECTIONS
Sometimes M&E equipment selections can be relatively high in capital costs. However, we also run into the issue that the optional item proposed, does not actually meet the requirements of the building in question. Our technical team can advise you on suitable and more cost-efficient options, so please get in touch.

Energy Performance Certificates are required for both commercial and domestic applications for sale or rent. Energy Performance Certificates can only be produced by Qualified Energy Assessors. Our in house assessors can turn EPCs round in quick fashion, with next day delivery service available at an extra cost.
