JPA M&E Consultants is pleased to announce the successful completion of the South Tyneside Crematorium project, executed in partnership with Quartz Electrical and Mechanical Ltd, our longstanding clients. With a project value of £750,000, we were responsible for delivering the RIBA Stage 4-7 design. Collaborating closely with Surgo as the Main Contractor and GSS Architecture as part of the architectural team, we ensured that the design and construction met the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Understanding the solemn nature of the facility, our work schedule was carefully arranged to minimize disruption to ongoing funeral services. Construction activities were confined to weekends, Mondays, and Tuesdays, enabling the crematorium to continue its services on alternate days with increased availability.

One of the distinguishing features of this project is the integration of feature lighting, elevating the aesthetic qualities of the religious chapel within the crematorium. The design elements were meticulously chosen to create an atmosphere that is both visually appealing and spiritually resonant.
